Team Tuesday: Meet Our Executive Chef Ashim Khadka
This week’s Team Tuesday spotlight shines on Ashim Khadka, Executive Chef at the Dubbo RSL Club Group. With 5.5 years under his belt, Ashim leads our culinary teams with a genuine passion for great food, innovation and bringing people together through memorable dining experiences.
When asked what he loves most about his role, Ashim’s answer is straightforward: creating ideas that people love and watching his team bring them to life. There’s a real satisfaction in that, and it shows in the quality of food that comes out of our kitchens every day.
A Role That Goes Beyond the Kitchen
Ashim’s responsibilities extend well beyond any single kitchen. He oversees multiple kitchens across our venues, supports his teams, develops menus and ensures consistently great food is served to our guests. His leadership has been a key part of watching Sunset Bistro grow into the successful operation it is today, and he takes great pride in what the team has accomplished together.
His personal go-to meal? A medium-rare scotch fillet steak with chips, salad and mushroom sauce – a classic choice from a chef who clearly knows good food.
And if he could swap roles for a day? Ashim would trade places with Gaming Manager Daniel to experience gaming operations firsthand – and give Daniel a turn on the grill!
When asked to describe the Dubbo RSL Club Group in three words, Ashim didn’t hesitate: a place of opportunities.
