   JETT WILLIAMS

18 October , 2017

Doors Open 7.00pm Showtime 7.30pm

The daughter of Hank Williams, Jett's birth came five days after the legendary performer's untimely death. Throughout her childhood she picked up tantalizing hints as to her father might be,but it was not until she was twenty-one that she learned enough about her past to lead to her learning true details of her biological parents. Eventually in 1985, the Alabama State Court officially declared her to be the daughter of Hank Williams. Two years later, the Alabama Supreme Court ruled that she was entitled to a half-share in the Williams estate, along with her half-brother, Hank Williams, Jr who is three years her senior. As the 90s ended, she and her half-brother ended many years of antipathy and were reconciled.
Williams published her autobiography in 1990, detailing much of her search for identity. Musically speaking, though Williams' identity has been clear for many years . She made her professional debut in 1989 and in 1993 she appeared at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. On Tour, she has worked often with the Drifting Cowboys, a group led by original member Don Helms. The dedication Williams has to country music is readily organisations and in matters of social importance, and this was acknowledged in 2000 when the Tennessee House of Representatives passed a resolution recognising her work .

  Sara Storer "Silos Tour"

28 October 2017

Doors Open 7.30pm  Showtime 8.00pm

Sara Storer is one of Australia’s most-loved singer-songwriters, an ARIA and multiple Golden Guitar winner whose crisp observations of the Australian landscape and its people provide the solid foundation stone for her music. She has seen all the beauty, joy and heartbreak this land can bring, living for a time in western Queensland, where she wrote her first song, and working as a school teacher in Katherine in the Northern Territory.

Sara has earned high praise from media and audiences alike for her ability to capture the essence of Australian life - its characters and distinctive landscape.

John Williamson best sums it up: “Sara has a unique way of seeing and expressing her observations of love and life in the bush. So she is a songwriter that will be remembered beyond her lifetime.”

And as respected journalist and book author Noel Mengel observes, “It’s Sara’s crisp observations of the Australian landscape and its people that provide the solid foundation stone for her music. She has seen all the beauty, joy and heartbreak this land can bring. Images of Australia burn through Silos with all the clarity of an outback sunset.
